
2025 - The Mechanicals (Ages 15-18)
This camp is a great option for older students interested in beginning or continuing their exploration of Shakespeare performance through scene work, character creation, movement exploration including Stage Combat, creative collaboration with their peers, and more! This camp offers a deeper look into monologues and scene studies and concludes with a performance on the Kentucky Shakespeare stage.
This camp will have a max capacity of 10 campers per session.
Full Day: 9am-4pm, M-F, One and Two Week Options Available
Session 2: June 23-27 (1 Week Session) $195 Special Focus Topic: Famous Fight Scenes - ALREADY IN SESSION
Session 3: June 30-July 11 (2 Week Session) $295 Performing an adapted version of a Shakespeare Play
Session 4: July 14-18 (1 Week Session) $195 Special Focus Topic: The Women of Shakespeare’s Works - Connect with the young characters of Shakespeare and how they relate to modern day. Campers will work on monologues and scenes that speak to their experiences and explore that text in performance.
Please note: There will NOT be Camp sessions on June 19th and July 4th to observe federal holidays.
The Final Performances are in Central Park on the evening of the last day of each Camp session. Please read our FAQ page for more information.
